When something is working against us in life it causes strife and often leaves us feeling out of sorts, confused and just generally frustrated. Could be Mercury in Retrograde that has your brain in a fog causing difficulty to even organize thoughts!
Many people throughout the ages have documented this emotional and/or physical anomaly during the three occurrences each year that Mercury appears to move in an opposite direction of the earth.
Seriously, I don't buy into all that psycho babble about stars and astrological signs one might say or think. So let's put it into perspective. Do the moon's phases really affect the earth? Yes, we know this through science and that the moon directly affects the tides on earth. So then isn't it logically possible that the movements of other planets throughout our solar system might also affect not only the earth's gravitational pull but our own individual energies? I am inclined to think this is very likely so. Take for instance, the word "lunatic", directly derived from the word lunar which is defined: of, determined by, or resembling the moon. The word itself is defined as mentally ill and is a term that has been widely used for centuries and directly correlates ones actions in relation to or being "affected by" the lunar cycle.
It certainly seems safe to speculate that there is potential for astrological cycles to play a role in our emotions and/or inner senses and thus outward behaviors.
So what does it actually mean when Mercury is in Retrograde?
According to wikipedia: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apparent_retrograde_motion
Apparent retrograde motion is the apparent motion of a planet in a direction opposite to that of other bodies within its system, as observed from a particular vantage point. Direct motion or prograde motion is motion in the same direction as other bodies.
Mercury Retrograde Calendar for 2019
March 5 – March 28 (in Pisces sign)
July 8 (in Leo sign) – August 1 (in Cancer sign)
October 31 – November 20 (in Scorpio sign)
With three occurrences each year we can almost always expect Mercury to shake things up.
Not to worry though there are things you can do to prepare for Mercury's trickery!
Understand Mercury rules binding agreements like contracts, communication, travel (our vehicles), and similar things. Knowing this you can strategize with a few simple tips to ride out this flustering cycle:
avoid signing contracts or making legal agreements
double & triple check travel arrangements, plan for extra time or consider postponing travel
don't make rash decisions
this is a good time to slow down, review things and even take introspective
planning is key during Mercury in Retrograde so plan ahead on everything
tempers are more likely to flair during this time so be prepared and try to be the clam, level headed one
communication is huge so whether work or personal communicate clearly, concisely and double check emails, dates and times
Mercury in Retrograde is a perfect time to slow down and learn or practice meditation
So if you're feeling not quite all together or a bit frazzled and well, just frankly out of sorts then check the astrological calendar and see just what might be occurring.
Coincidence or something more? You decide now that you're aware.
